Zusammenfassung
Seit Inbetriebnahme des Nd-YAG-Lasers sind in 1 Jahr 55 Iridotomien bei 39 Patienten
durchgeführt worden. Der Eingriff war in 93% erfolgreich, allerdings muß postoperativ
Klarheit gewonnen werden, dass das Foramen wirklich durchgängig ist. Die zentrale
Vorderkammertiefe läßt sich zur Beurteilung der Durchgängigkeit nicht als eindeutiges
Zeichen heranziehen. Bis jetzt scheint die Behandlung des akuten Glaukoms im Anfall
oder kurz danach nicht ganz problemlos zu sein.
Summary
Since the Nd-YAG laser was introduced 55 iridotomies have been performed on 39 patients
at the authors' clinic, with a success rate of 93%; however, it must be established
postoperatively that the foramen is really open. Anterior chamber depth does not seem
to be altered by the intervention and therefore cannot be regarded as an indication
of succesful operation. Failures occurred mainly with eyes that were treated during
an attack of acute angle-closure glaucoma or shortly thereafter.
